I can’t thank you all enough for joining me on this awesome journey! I had never attempted a Crochet Along project of my own before, and everyone has been so encouraging and wonderful about this whole project. After this week, we are all finished with the main body of the blanket. I went one step further with mine and added a small border, but if you don’t want to do that, you can finish this week and show off your finished piece!

If you would prefer to read a chart, click HERE.

I started a group on Facebook called Couch Surfer Crocheters so people could share their finished pieces, and it has turned into a wonderful community of fiber artists. Lots of people have been sharing their progress in the group, and we’d love to have you!

I swear my couch is red, not orange like it appears in this photo! It’s quite close the red color in the blanket, and I love the way it looks hanging over the back of my couch! It’s the perfect size to use there.

If you’re looking for a new project to start, check out my Criss Cross Hat Pattern, the Cotton Washcloths, or the Simple Lacy Scarf! Those are all quick projects you can do that don’t take up quite as much time as a full sized blanket!

Next week (Monday, July 24th) I will share with you how I did the border rows. Some people have asked about making a longer blanket (to fit the size of a bed). I will also be sharing with you how you can continue to grow your blanket by repeating sections of this pattern to do just that! Thanks for joining me on this Crochet Along! I’d like to do another one in the future, so keep an eye out for that announcement! And check back often, as I’m always posting new patterns and sharing what I’m into in the crochet community!
