Go Do Make!

Thank you for joining me on the Changing Chevrons Crochet Along. This blanket pattern has been so much fun to create.

In case you are just finding us, let me get you up to speed. This Crochet Along started on Monday, March 26th. Every two weeks (every other Monday), I will be posting 10 – 15 rows of the pattern, including all stitches and variations required. I’m posting every two weeks to give you plenty of time to learn the new stitches and complete all of the rows for that section.

Week 2: April 9
Week 3: April 23
Week 4: May 7
Week 5: May 21
Week 6: June 4
Week 7: June 18

***** Update*****
There have been a few questions and comments about a few of the stitches used here. I am a creator, but not an expert! I try to explain these patterns as well as I can, but sometimes they can get a bit confusing! I have linked a couple of videos on the Special Stitches page that I hope will help you all with some of these more finicky stitches!

Also my apologies for not having some of these rows as well detailed as I would have liked. I found out last week that my blog and it’s number of monthly visitors had grown significantly. I am so thrilled that people are interested in my creations. I was so excited! But that meant that I had to transfer over to a different server that could handle it and keep everything running smoothly for you. I couldn’t edit the post or add photos and video. I now have everything back in order on the blog and hope to avoid this in the future!

Thank you for joining me on this journey. It is really fun, but I am definitely still learning when it comes to blogging and everything it involves!

For those that have asked for Crochet Charts, please know I am working on it. None of the current software available really allows for chevron designs, so I am learning Photoshop as well to try and make these charts a reality.

Week 3

R26: DC, Color 3
R27: DC, Color 3
R28: Herringbone, Color 4
R29: HDC, Color 1

R35: DC, Color 2
R36: DC, Color 2
R37: HDC, Color 3
R38: HDC, Color 3
R39: HDC, Color 3

That wraps up Week 3! Week 4 will go up on May 7th!

Also, in case you were wondering, this blanket is doggy approved! This is my pup Artie, and he claims this blanket any time I set it down somewhere in the house.

Please, please, please feel free to share your work with me! I would love to see your progress and finished pieces. Half the joy of creating is sharing it! You can post your work here in the comments, on my Facebook page, or you can join the Couch Surfer Crocheters FB Group!

  1. you said you did the last 6 rows with DC and HDC…that tells me from rows 40 – 45 would be 3 DC then 3 HDC correct…..

  2. sorry to bother you again…but I was just reading the instructions again and is it possible that row 34 is suppose to be DC then repeat for 35 – 36 then 37 -39 HDC…thats the only thing that makes sense to me….presently row 34 says bead stitch…please advise….and ps…love the crochet along…..

    1. I have had a few questions about this week’s post in the Changing Chevrons Crochet Along. I apologize for any confusion with the pattern this week. I’ve been very lucky to have this CAL grow quickly in popularity.

However, that meant I had to move my blog to a larger server, and haven’t been able to update or edit any posts for a few days now. This caused this week’s post to go up essentially unfinished.

All is well now! And running smoothly once again. Here is the link to the updated post for this week. I have also updated the Special Stitches page (linked in post) with a couple of videos that I hope will help with some of the stitches used in this pattern.

  3. Row 35 and 36? Are these right? I will really appreciate pictures of ever row or every part so that it is more easy to follow the pattern.
