Thank you for joining me on the Changing Chevrons Crochet Along. This blanket pattern has been so much fun to create.
In case you are just finding us, let me get you up to speed. This Crochet Along started on Monday, March 26th. Every two weeks (every other Monday), I will be posting 10 – 15 rows of the pattern, including all stitches and variations required. I’m posting every two weeks to give you plenty of time to learn the new stitches and complete all of the rows for that section.
Hello! I hope you are all having an amazing January so far! It’s unseasonably warm (at least today!) here in Tennessee, so I thought it would be the perfect time to break out one of my lighter weight scarves. Last year I shared a yarn review for Caron Cakes yarn. I was so excited to try out self-striping yarn! Well…did you know that Red Heart now has their own line of self-striping yarns, appropriately called Red Heart Stripes?! They have some of the most amazing colors, and I couldn’t wait to try out a few of them!
Welcome back to Couch Surfer Crochet! I have missed all of you so much over this holiday season. I am so happy to be getting back in to the swing of things here on the blog! I couldn’t share any of the patterns I was working on in December because they were all Christmas gifts and I didn’t want to spoil any surprises, since everyone in my family sees all my blog posts.
I definitely got the BIGGEST response from my niece this year! Back in October I shared a photo on Instagram wearing one of my creations. I had been gifted this gorgeous sparkly metallic yarn and I knew I wanted to make something that I could wear. So I sat down and worked up a quick and easy granny stripe poncho. I wore it to a family event, and my niece went crazy for it! That’s when I had my light bulb moment. Why not make one for her in different colors!?!
I secretly asked her mom what her favorite colors were, and she said purple and teal. I knew I could make something beautiful with those colors! I added a silver yarn to complete the striping pattern.
